Research in NLP, semantic annotation, generative AI for literature and theatre, and hybrid machine learning models applied to text.

I am a Full Professor of Computer Science at University of Paris 8. I am a permanent member of the Laboratoire d'Intelligence Artificielle et Sémantique de Données (LIASD) and lead the PASTIS research team. My research lies at the intersection of Natural Language Processing (NLP), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and the text data engineering. I focus on the design of structured and semantically annotated corpora and their use in machine learning models for natural language tasks.
I also develop tools for semantic annotation and explore the creative potential of generative AI, especially in the domains of literature and theatre.
In 2023, I co-founded the interdisciplinary research group GLAÇON with my colleagues R. Kyriakoglou and A. Millour.

I am currently on CNRS delegation at IRIT, within the ADRIA research team.

I currently hold the following teaching responsibilities:

  • Co-director (with Pablo Rauzy) of the Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (Licence Informatique)
  • Head of the third year of the Bachelor’s program (L3) — all relevant information about the degree program is available here.
  • Coordinator for apprenticeships and internships.
